SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Process Manager you will be required to develop and manage all templates for the relevant core tools, as well as process flow diagrams, PFMEA’s and SOP’s.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conduct studies to determine best practice/design in future trends and conduct research work and pre-feasibility studies toward improving process flow. In addition, you will assist with the development and managing of a Quality Management system, including all new and existing policies and procedures within the company. You will be providing engineering support services to contribute to the achievement of operational targets, whilst striving for optimal availability and safety within your area of responsibility.

 

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Matric
  • National Diploma in Engineering (NQF 6)
  • Advantage Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (NQF 7
  • Up to 5 years’ experience in Engineering within the Manufacturing environment, of which 3 years should be at Supervisory level.
  • Knowledge of relevant Production Processes
  • Understanding/interpretation of Technical drawings
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and applicable discipline-specific software programs)
  • Communication skills (both verbal and written)

 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed technical presentations for Principle Engineer/Process Manager to review.
  • Trains and develops all Process Engineers on how to manage and compile Core tools. 
  • Initiates continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving opportunities
  • Drives and oversees project design from start to implementation phase.
  • Evaluate and complete projects with minimum risk, within allocated timeframes and according to specified budgetary requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and policy frameworks to prevent fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure.
  • Contributes to the budget preparation process.
  • Monitors and controls expenditure against
  • Maintains effective working relationships with customers (both internal and external)
  • Maintains relationships per policies, procedures and legal, as well as stakeholder management system requirements.
  • In collaboration with HR, identify staff performance objectives, potential areas of development and action plans where necessary.
  • Ensures ongoing training and development of employees.
