Process Operator– DC2 – Shift A- Killarney Gardens

POSITION INFO:

Main purpose of the job:

Operate and lead a plant team to achieve product quality and maximum throughput while minimizing waste, ensure continuous improvement initiative while doing so.

Preferred Requirements

• Matric with Maths and Science
• Or N3 Certificate in Food Processing
• Certificate in Production Management
• Formal Leadership/Management Training

Knowledge:

• Food/Fruit Processing and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of fruit processing and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for the production of food products.
• Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of dairy and related products.
• Knowledge of the process, product, processing requirements, maintenance procedures, cleaning procedures, health and safety procedures, HACCP, ISO and general manufacturing practices
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques.

Skills:

• Monitoring/Assessing performance/development of product make improvements or take corrective action on the processing thereof.
• Coaching and development of team members
