JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in Franschhoek, a well-known and internationally acclaimed hospitality group is looking for a Procurement and Stock Administrator to join their team.

 

The Procurement & Stock Administrator will perform a variety of creditor related duties for the group of companies, with a focus order, price control, stock sheet valuations, capturing of creditors.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Identify goods and services the company needs
  • Assist HODs with Assessing and selecting vendors
  • Negotiate price and terms
  • Create a purchase order
  • Assist with receiving and inspecting delivered goods
  • Conduct three way matching
  • Approve the invoice, assist with processing and arrange for payment.
  • Ensure validity of Invoicing in accordance with purchases policy
  • Ensure allocations are done correctly to the GL account
  • Assisting all HODs with procurement and stock purchase capturing on stock sheets
  • Assisting Financial Accountant in Stock Take processes for all departments
  • Update stock control sheets with purchases and keep updated pricing - ensure they are correct
  • Month end variances adjustments - assessment and processing
  • Document control and management, store all supporting documents in electronic system
  • Assist with accounting and administrative functionality needed to enable completion of accounts month and annual year ends.
  • Assist in year audits, relating to job functioning.

 
REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Procurement and Stock Control.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
  • Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Time management skills
  • Computer skills, including the ability to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level (Microsoft Office Sage X3/Sage Enterprise Management)
  • Experience in similar hospitality industry an advantage
  • Sound experience in Stock control and valuation
  • Understanding of foreign currency
  • Good command of English language, verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, meticulous and methodical
  • High level of accuracy when recording/capturing of information with attention to detail
  • Be a team player with good communication skills
  • Understand the importance of filing systems
  • High Sense of responsibility and ethical standards
  • Excellent performance under pressure ensuring deadline are met
  • Sense of ownership and pride in work
  • A sense of fun and understanding of the way things are done at the company

  

SALARY

Basic monthly salary R15 000 + 50% Medical Aid & 50%  Pension Fund contribution

 

WORKING HOURS

Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00
