SaaS Product Manager required for a growing start-up based in Edinburgh, however with a remote-first approach.
The company:
With a headcount of now circa 50, the business has grown a lot over the last year and are continuing to do so. They are a SaaS software company and they operate in a niche field, with a very strong presence in the UK and ever growing in the US. With the growth they are experiencing and the performance of the product, there is a huge focus moving forward on America and this new market opens up the world of possibilities.
They are building a suite of products that are transitioning into a proper platform and it is all focused on AI and chatbots etc. The products currently hold 60% of the UK market and with the recent performance, they have real belief in the US venture. They have an incredible relationship with their customer base and you will gain great exposure to your clients.
The company have an office in Edinburgh, however are very flexible on home working, with a lot of the team mostly remote. They would like this individual to be able to get into the office at least once a month, so being close enough is important.
The role:
This is a position for a Product Manager or Owner who has worked for a software company and also who loves working with clients. You will have a lot of access to the clients and the company are open that they are very customer-driven. You will work closely with them in order to understand how they use the products and find ways to improve their experience.
The product you will manage is really great and it is there. You will be a key member of the team in working out what the product strategy is going forward and how to integrate things better. The senior management of the company are quite open that the product function is not too mature, so there is a lot of flexibility currently to mould things. Due to this, it would be great for you to have come from a start-up mindset and are hungry to expand and grow with the business.
The person and skills required:
** Product Manager or Product Owner experience across a SaaS (ideally) or software business
** Ideally having a "start-up" mentality
** Strong background or experience in working with clients (from a product perspective)
** Full product lifecycle experience
** Experience working with not only the Development team, but also different parts of the business including Sales, Marketing, Business Development etc
** Break down product requirements into user stories, participating in development sprints and support Sales & Marketing in taking the product/project to market
** Monitor market trends, analyse competitive products and activities
** Help facilitate the Team Sprints and Agile Ceremonies
