Looking for a Product Owner for a growing SaaS company in Glasgow.
The company:
Started around 30 years ago, they are at about 140 headcount in total and are growing at a phenomenal rate (40% year on year growth). They have one main SaaS product that they sell to market and have a global reach. They are beginning to add in new products to their services and have begun their journey on creating a huge platform where all the products are contained. Currently they operate across a SAFe environment, and are really looking to embed this further into the business.
They are a software company and they focus on a very specific area of safety, developing a few different futuristic tools. Over the last few years, they have really started to gain momentum with sales and they operate globally, working alongside a number of very recognisable brands. They are based just outside of Glasgow, however this role can be fully remote across anywhere in the UK. They have a PI planning week once every three months and hope you could make it to Glasgow for this, but this isn't absolutely necessary.
The role:
Being one of three to four Product Owners initially, you will work across multiple Dev teams of around 30 Developers and will work closely with the business in order to improve the product for the users. As this role is in Scaled Agile (SAFe), the role has strong overlap with an Agile Business Analyst as you will not have full ownership of the product and backlog. You will have exposure to the roadmap, but you will need to be comfortable with sprint sessions and writing user stories. It is very much a PO role, however it is within a SAFe environment, which has its differences to Agile Scrum. A BA who has had exposure to Product may be a good fit overall.
The role does also offer huge benefits, including a bonus paid quarterly as well as unlimited holidays (and of course remote working).
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
** One year minimum in either a Product Owner environment or as a Business Analyst working with Scrum/Kanban/SAFe
** Work closely with agile development teams to deliver great products and services for our customers
** Prioritise features and break them down into user stories
** Maintain prioritized team backlog
** Provide knowledge and understanding of product and feature goals to technology teams while they develop and test to your designs
** Create high-level documentation, working alongside the technical writers
** Defining features and distilling them into requirements, such as epics and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria
This is an opportunity to join a vastly growing, SaaS business with very good benefits.
