JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification

Matric with Mathematics
Diploma or Qualification in Production Planning

Requirements

Computer Literate : Advanced skills in Excel and must have Syspro
Work very closely Sales on forecasting and future requirements for customers
5 Years planning and scheduling experience
Must have a strong understanding of production process and MRP planning and working with an ERP system
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must Understand time cycles / parts per hour / inefficiencies / capacity / through put
Able to read Engineering drawings (does not need to interpret just understand)
Mathematical and Analytical
Attention to detail
Good written and spoken Communication skills in English
Excellent problem solver

Duties

Open up tasks in ERP system based on quantities required to meet customer demands, stock holding policies and company KPI.
Create production schedules on a daily basis or as and when changes occur
Communicate with production managers and supervisors on changes and expectations
Expedite parts through production in order to meet customers requirements
Communicate with Sales or Engineering constantly to inform of any issues or concerns with meeting deadlines
Conduct daily meetings with supervisors to give feedback and get information in order to ensure deadlines are met
