To implement National policies relating to teaching, learning and assessment and to successfully manage the tuition, service and administrative delivery of relevant programmes.

Educational requirements:
Bachelor’s degree OR Honours and experience in relevant field
3-5 years’ experience in relevant field
Management and teaching in tertiary environment
Knowledge of quality assurance
Staff management
MS office proficient

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of relevant programme budgets to ensure cost effectiveness and profitability
Submissions for regulatory approval of relevant programmes including HEQC and DOE
Participation in monitoring, evaluation and development of academic programmes
Academic development
Aligning specifications of programmes, development of associated policies
Submissions of regulatory approval
Chair quality committees
Manage programme budgets to ensure cost effectiveness and profitability
Lecture certain hours are per timetable
Academic leadership
Participate in monitoring, evaluation and development of academic programmes
Promotion of research studies
Evaluate and motivate lecturing staff, conflict management and supervision
Recruiting appropriate staff
Student records and academic monitoring
Student registration process
Academic monitoring and maintenance of student records
Control tests and examinations
Marking/moderation of test and examination papers
General management
Chair staff meetings, department schedules, audits, staff and student communication
