We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer/Project Manager Mining
POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Project Engineer/Project Manager
Location: Site near Westonaria, 50km south-west of Johannesburg, South Africa
Travel: Daily site travel required
Accommodation: Not provided
Job Type: Limited Duration Contract, Full-Time (12 Months)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Preferred Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of mining industry experience
- At least 3 years of project management experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and business guidance to the engineering team and staff.
- Lead and manage engineering and management of projects from incepeption to completion.
- Develop, manage, and maintain project plans using MS Project.
- Draft technical scopes of work as required.
- Ensure that projects are completed within budgets and deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with relevant legal regulations and engineering standards.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent organizational and project planning and management skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain design plans and specifications.
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project and design/visualization software.
- Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
