SUMMARY:
Psybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides specialised resourcing for client projects.
We are looking for a Qlik Replicate Administrator/Engineer to join our financial services client based in Johannesburg for a 6-months contract role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

What you will be doing:

Installation, configuration, monitoring and support of Qlik Replicate platform including upgrades and maintenance of security.
Provide Subject matter expertise on all aspects of Qlik Replicate.
Address a majority of technical questions concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture and general feature / functionality of our product.
Diagnose any issues including errors and performance topics. Work with Qlik technical support leading to resolution.
Establish governance processes and best practice . Review usage and adoption of best practices.
Establish load balancing, caching, backups, conduct DR drills. Automate regular administration activities.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant fields
2 years of experience with Administration and development in Qlik Replicate
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing and operations
Certified in “Qlik Replicate Administration”
Good understanding and experience in CDC and data staging / harvesting tools.
Administration experience to include installation, configuration, security, cache management in a highly available enterprise environment.
Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
Capable of independently perform the job duties. Self-driven and quick learner
Excellent communication for interfacing with developers, users, infrastructure teams, architects and any external partners.
Experience in Windows operating systems in server environments.
Understanding of LDAP, SSL and other security concepts.
Good knowledge of SQL Administration.
Good knowledge in AWS EC2 instances and its management needs
Good understanding of LSS (Log Stream Staging)
Understanding redundancy and recoverability of data when outages occur
