SUMMARY:
We are in need of a Quality Controller (Painting) to oversee painting projects and ensure they meet high-quality standards and client specifications. This role involves inspecting surfaces before and after painting, verifying proper application techniques, ensuring color consistency, and identifying defects such as uneven coatings or missed spots. The Quality Controller will also enforce safety protocols, monitor compliance with industry standards, and provide feedback to painters to maintain exceptional workmanship. Additionally, they will document inspection results, address issues promptly, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- Must come from the building and construction industry and have experience overseeing QC for painters
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within the skill of painting and Quality Inspection
- Own vehicle and valid drivers licence preferably
- Physical fitness to inspect surfaces, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
- Willingness to enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of paint mixing, application methods (spray, brush, roller), and curing processes.
- Knowledge of different paint types (e.g., epoxy, enamel, latex) and their appropriate applications.
- Ability to identify paint defects such as runs, uneven coatings, peeling, or discoloration.
- Knowledge of different painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation methods.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO, NACE, SSPC).
