SUMMARY:
Quality Controller (Manufacturing)

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental, FSSC22000 Food Safety, Health and Safety and FSC management systems in line with ISO standards, legal requirements, company policies, procedures.
 
Qualifications:

• Matric Certificate is essential.

• Must have experience in Corrugated Manufacturing.
• Ability to work as part of a successful team.
• Understanding of business principles.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Computer literate.

• Perform all prescribed laboratory tests on paper, starch, sheet board and converted products and recording thereof.
• Perform daily prescribed inspection, tests and checks at all production machines.
• Understanding of customer and product requirements and specifications.
• Recording of problems / raising of ncr/car in production.
• Completing of documents in full and in line with frequency chart.
• Entering of results in Shopware
• Completion of certificates of conformance in line with customer requirements.
• Communication with quality personnel and other departments.
• Maintaining of equipment within the lab.
• Ensure good housekeeping habits within the laboratory.
• Ensure wasteful activities are reported to supervision and senior management
• Analyse samples for sales department to determine paper combinations.
• Adherence to all Health, Safety, Environmental and Food Safety best operating practices
• Perform in house calibrations and update as per detailed calibration schedule.

• Ensure that you and all people reporting to you operate within the “Fire & Safety Rules to live by” at all times.
• Adhere to all legal and lawful requirements and instructions from your Superiors.
• Perform any adhoc duties as may be required from time to time.
• Assume colleagues duties in their absence.

• Prospected candidate will be required to undergo a practical assessment of their skills.
