Our client is a specialist renewable energy solutions company, with a proven track record of installing medium to large-scale rooftop and ground-mounted Solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Projects, You will be responsible for:

• Day-to-day management of project execution in strict accordance with the client’s requirements and specified standards
• Monitoring of construction work on a basis as agreed with the client
• Liaison with and co-ordination of clients, external professionals and consultants
• Ensure timeous information flow, internally and externally
• Safety management
• Preparation of reports and project documentation
• Ensure governance and compliance of projects within agreed procedures
• Analysing and managing project risks
• Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Project planning and monitoring progress in accordance with the project program (Microsoft Projects)
• Cost control measures and systems in strict accordance with the budgets (JobSys)
• Management of project contracts
• Drafting and motivation of relevant changes of scope – change control management
• Compliance to ISO 9001 requirements
• Co-ordination of all subordinate disciplines including, engineering and procurement
• Conduct project reviews and internal progress meetings
• Securing of documentation from the individual disciplines
• Adjudication of contractor and equipment quotes
• Time management of subordinate disciplines

Qualifications

• Qualification in Project Management (essential)
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (beneficial)

Skills

• Proven experience in project planning, costing, design and implementation
• MS Office packages with emphasis on MS Projects (Intermediate level)
• Valid Driver’s License

Salary / Package

R400K - R450K CTC per annum
