RB 406321 - Boilermaker (Mining Equipment) – East Rand

Job Description

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, You will be responsible for:

• Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as construction of furnaces,
  crushers, pulverisers, trolleys and any manufacturing according to drawings.
• Work involves using cutting torches. Tig, stick and mig welding.
• Have the ability to use any hand and power tools, ability to read and use all measuring equipment, be able to rig sling and use any lifting equipment to move or lift work pieces.
• Have the ability to read and work according to engineering drawings.
• Do surface preparation prior to welding and must be able to construct jigs with close tolerances.
• Be able to construct, assemble, maintain and repair any structural forms according to blue print or any verbal instruction.
• Carry out inspection on any work performed.

Qualifications

• N3 & Red Seal Boilermaker Trade Test

Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
• Manufacturing of any equipment with the needed tools supplied according to drawings and specifications.
• Conduct necessary tests and inspections of the end product to evaluate the quality or performance.
• Must be able to determine the cause of failure to equipment and to rectify it.
