Our client is a turnkey project management and equipment manufacturing supplier to the mining industry.

Job Description

Your duties will include:

• Managing the scheduling, planning, resourcing, quality, and technical activities of a project site
• Responsible for the overall technical, health, safety and environmental disciplines of ongoing site work
• Work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management, communication, planning and supervision skills.
• Assist in negotiating and co-ordinating installation and site works contracts, including managing subcontractors on site

Qualifications

• Fitter / Millwright Trade Test (advantageous)

Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in site installation and commissioning of heavy mining equipment
• Basic knowledge of installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the following: • Gear and Pinion drive trains • Gearboxes • Roller Bearings • Hydraulic Bearings • Electric Motors • Hydraulic Lubrication systems
• Experience in managing and supervising site crews and subcontractors
• Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety, Safety Files, and Safe Working Procedures
• Experience in working on Mine and Constructions sites
• Willingness to travel and work on site for extended periods of time
