Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in manufacturing Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Short Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to supply raw materials to production as per picklist.

Responsibilities:

Pick raw materials as per production order picklist.
Issue all chemicals, consumables, and raw materials as per request.
Verify quantities of raw materials received from production once production is complete.
Ensure that the proper handover takes place between shifts.
Ensure the correct pallet ID is returned for normal stock holding.
Conduct cycle counts weekly and ensures the reporting thereof.
Assist with the housekeeping of warehouses and the chemical store.
Report any incidents or steps taken to rectify to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Know and understand the applicable policies and procedures.
Ensure all relevant documents are handed to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Assist with ad hoc tasks as and when required by the department.

Key Competencies:

Education and Experience

Minimum of a Grade 12
One-year relevant warehouse experience
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Good time management
Good organizational skills
Good administrative skills
Disciplined and reliable
Procedural driven
Must be able to work in a team and alone
