SUMMARY:
My client in freight forwarding, shipping and logistics is looking for a Receiving Manager to head up their import / export warehousing operation.
POSITION INFO:
Must have completed qualification in Supply Chain/ Logistics with proven managerial experience - as you will be managing the full day to day function of the Receiving/Imports operation.
Key Experience required:
- Understanding of Port detentions and shipping lines demurrage free days
- Understanding of Import operations based on shipping line empty turn-in criteria
- Maintenance responsibility for the Receiving and Despatch MHE (material handling equipment) portfolio
- HAZ / SHEQ / OHS knowledge for unpack operations
- People management - disciplinary matters, health and safety training, performance and managing work schedules
- Manage and monitor overtime in line with department budget
