Receptionist

SUMMARY:
Do you have a minimum of two years’ experience in an Administrative / Front Desk Support role, where you have assisted customers face to face and over the phone?
 
Our client who is based in Maitland, is a supplier in the hospitality industry and requires a dedicated, driven and proactive Receptionist who enjoys multi-tasking and being the first point of contact for clients and attending to a wide range of administrative tasks.
 
Your friendly, welcoming and positive attitude is what will from part of this dynamic team.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, relevant qualification advantageous
• Administrative support experience
• Computer Literate
• Bilingual (Afrikaans/English)
• Very confident, a team player who is well-spoken and presentable
• Dedicated worker willing to do menial tasks
• Valid Drivers license and own transportation

• Ensure Reception area is neat, clean & tidy
• Ensure visitors are comfortable should they have to wait for their appointment
• Responsible for answering all incoming calls as quickly as possible
• Take accurate messages when the person sought is not available
• Ensure messages reach the person timeously
• Ensure the switchboard is manned at all times
• Manage office diary
• Book meeting rooms
• Occasionally making tea and coffee for guests
• Assist with Adhoc research for the company
• Assist Customers on showroom floor or alternatively ask a representative to assist the customers
• Assisting with Invoicing on Showroom floor as well as Telesales
• Assisting Sales Representatives with Quotes when required
• Receiving Cash and Credit Card payments
• Ensure that each Cash/Credit Card payment is receipted
• Complete Cash/Credit Card Summary Sheet daily and hand cash with sheet to finance department at end of every day
• Assist with printing labels for despatch
• Restocking showroom shelves with sample
