Financial Receptionist - George - Western Cape

POSITION INFO:

A Financial institute, based in George, is hiring a Receptionist to join their team.

The suitable candidate will have working experience in a financial institute, with SARS knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Operations

1. Welcome clients and visitors professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
2. Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly and efficiently.
3. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate calendars for advisors and management.
4. Direct clients to the appropriate departments and provide forms or instructions for their needs.

SARS and Compliance Support

1. Assist clients with SARS-related inquiries, including completing and submitting forms.
2. Liaise with SARS on behalf of the company and clients when required.
3. Ensure accurate documentation of SARS interactions and maintain compliance with tax regulations.
4. Keep up-to-date with SARS processes to provide accurate support to clients and internal teams.

Administrative and Client Support

1. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including tax-related documents.
2. Update and maintain client records in the company’s CRM system or database.
3. Provide administrative support to financial advisors, such as organizing documents and preparing meeting materials.
4. Address client queries regarding financial processes and direct complex issues to the appropriate team members.

General Office Duties

1. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
2. Monitor office supplies and coordinate replenishments.
3. Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks to support various departments.

Requirements

• Qualifications:
  
  • Matric certificate (essential).
  • Certificate or diploma in administration or a related field (advantageous).

• Experience:
  
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge and experience with SARS processes and compliance (essential).

• Skills:
  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
