JOB DESCRIPTION:

This highly acclaimed Hotel prides itself on being a respected & progressive employer brand, celebrated our investment in employee wellness, the broader community & the environment. We are looking to recruit a Receptionist, to welcome guests at the hotel, manage switchboard; responsible for petty cash and assist guests with their check-in & checkout process, as well as any queries during their stay. They contribute to the team’s ability to achieve departmental targets and objectives as well as the hotel at large. As a Receptionist, you will work in the Front Office department. You’ll often provide the first and last impression of the hotel to their guests. It is therefore important that employees display a prompt and courteous attitude to all guests and demonstrate the excellence in service.

Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or/and similar positions. Matric or equivalent certificate. Hospitality tertiary education (advantageous). Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Excellent attendance and performance track record. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Computer Literate, including MS Office and Opera (advantageous). Must have a can-do attitude and follow through on actions in a timely way with minimum supervision. Demonstrate tenacity and the ability to perform in fast moving environment. Previous relevant experience at 4-Star establishment of at least 2 years
