SUMMARY:
Our client in the Banking Sector requires a Reconciliation Administrator for a 4 months contract.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role exists to provide a service to Fiduciary Services by creating a book of record in order for Fiduciary Services to ensure that as Trustees, we are performing our oversight function as required by CISCA. This individual is responsible to deliver as per the SLA with Fiduciary Services and Clients for the reconciliation process (cash reconciliation, asset reconciliation and trade support) on a daily or monthly basis

It is crucial that the individual understands Collective Investment Schemes while performing reconciliations across products, platforms and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Reconciliation Administration Specialist:
  • Reconcile the cash account on a daily basis for all the funds under our control.
  • Unpack and resolve aged breaks and escalate if necessary
  • investigate all items on the unmatched report and pass forward to the Trade Support team for processing
  • To ensure that outstanding recon breaks are resolved timeously
  • To ensure that Hiport local and foreign cash accounts are balancing to the bank statements
  • Manage various funds and clients

Asset Reconciliation Administration Specialist:
  • Reconcile Hiport to Manco and Hiport to Bancs/BNY/Third party (nominals, market value and accrued interest on a monthly basis for all funds under our control.
  • Unpack and resolve all recon breaks and escalate if necessary
  • Preparing of Month End reporting – sent to Client/ Client Services
  • Balancing Units in Issue on a daily basis where needed
  • To ensure thatoutstanding recon breaks are resolved timeously
  • Requesting of statements from Manco`s/Institutions/Banks – via online, email request.
  • Manage various funds and clients
 
Trade Support Reconciliation Administration Specialist:
  • To ensure that all transactions are loaded/automated onto Hiportfolio in order for the Trustee to keep a shadow set of records and to perform their fiduciary function
  • Able to maintain a high rate of accuracy when capturing trades whilst meeting all deadlines
  • Manage various funds and clients
  • Ensure that all corporate events (Local and Foreign) are loaded on Hiportfolio
  • Interpret the foreign corporate events and send to the corporate actions team to load
  • Run and settle the corporate actions events as per the Corporate Actions notifications
Requirements

Minimum qualification 1: Type of qualification: Completed secondary school/high school/A levels/Matric
Other qualifications:  Tertiary qualifications such as BComm degree advantageous but not compulsory or Studies in Financial Markets are favourable
