SUMMARY:
Our client in the Steel Manufacturing industry, has an EE opportunity available for a Refractory Technician. This position is based in Middleburg, Mpumalanga.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

N6 mechanical/electrical engineering diploma and
5 years’ experience in refractory installation in the steel industry
Added advantage will be a National Diploma Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering complemented by 3 years’ experience in refractory installation in the steel industry
Extensive skills and knowledge of refractory installation
Sound understanding of OSHACT, quality and environmental standards
extensive skills and knowledge of; refractory installation, have sound understanding of OSHACT, quality and environmental standards
Computer literate

KPAs:

Plan daily refractory installations and achieve turnaround targets for vessels relines
Ensure that all work related to refractory installation and/or monitoring is in line with the required quality standard
Taking agile corrective action around vessel failure
