A leading Healthcare and Risk Management company dedicated to providing sustainable and integrated health solutions tailored to their clients' diverse needs seeks a qualified Registered Nurse with experience in clinical hospital pre-authorisation and a background in private hospital nursing. In this role, you will contribute to the Hospital Pre-Auth Team, ensuring that key performance indicators and service level agreements are met while authorising hospital procedures by adhering to established protocols.  The company culture fosters innovation and enhances client value through unique insights and health capabilities.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- National Senior Certificate
- Nursing Diploma or Degree (essential)
- Minimum of 1 year’s clinical experience in a private hospital (essential)
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of the Medical Scheme industry is advantageous
- Experience in a call centre environment is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office/Office 365
- Open to South African citizens with a clear criminal and credit history

Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-authorise in-hospital procedures, specialised radiology, medical appliances, and oxygen for all schemes as per protocols
- Address clinical-related queries and escalations following established guidelines
- Present complex cases at clinical meetings as needed
- Assist with ongoing training and support within the Pre-Auth Team
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive system records
- Rotate filing of audit reports
- Resolve client queries promptly to ensure exceptional service
- Serve as a reliable backup to the Team Leader, ensuring continuity within the team
- Contribute to a culture of rewarding relationships, feedback, and outstanding client service
- Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and organizational values
- Identify personal training and development needs for ongoing growth
