Registered Nurse - Theatre (Qualified)

SUMMARY:
Our client, a private hospital in Middelburg, Mpumalanga is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the healthcare team as a Theatre Scrub Nurse. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality, cost-effective, and safe patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. This position will encompass both direct and indirect nursing care, involving the assessment, planning, execution, and supervision of patient care to meet their unique needs.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating theatre.
• Competently administering Intravenous and Intramuscular medication
• Ensure that health care is provided to all patients according to company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Plan, organize and ensure control of all activities within the framework of the position and that staff adheres to the companies' policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure that skills development plans are in place for staff and continuous training is provided according to the need.
• Ensure that all quality standards and control measures are known and that it is adhered to.
• To contribute actively to teamwork and ensure efficiency of the team on a continuous basis.

• Diploma/Degree as a Registered Nurse with experience in Theatre Nursing 
• Current Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Operating Theatre
• Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science is essential
• Theatre Scrubbing skills is essential
• 2 years of experience in a private hospital setting.
• Flexible in working hours/Shifts
