Looking for a Relief Chef with excellent pastry skills and 5-star lodge experience for a lodge near Hluhluwe.
This is a live-in position and transport to and from lodge is own cost. This role also requires relief at a near-by lodge.
Experience required:
At least 3+ years relevant experience
Strong pastry experience
Passion for creating fabulous food
Valid South African Drivers Licence a must
Duties include:
Relieve the other Lodge Chef when on leave
Kitchen Hygiene standards set
Responsible for training chefs & implementing kitchen standards.
Correct chemicals and sufficient cleaning materials to be in stock at all times
Proactive Maintenance
Good communication, stock controls and stock rotation
Good administration
Good interaction/communication with other chefs: invite feedback
Strict food costs and continued cost cutting initiatives with local suppliers
Responsible for all food orders, storerooms and fridge and deepfreezes
Good Teamwork to be promoted
Always be approachable, innovative and able to work unsupervised
