Renumerations & Benefits Practitioner - 12 months Contract position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our well established client based in Umhlanga, Durban has a vacancy for a Renumerations & Benefits Practitioner. Kindly note: Candidates must be available immediately. This is a 12 months contract position.

Duties & Responsibilities

PAYROLL

Responsible for payment of salaries for 180 staff members.

  1. Calculation and recon of monthly deductions, various allowances, bonuses, terminations and appointments, etc. input and calculation of new ‘methods of calculation’ into the system
  2. Processing of appointments/terminations on VIP Premier and relevant payments associated therewith
  3. Calculations pertaining to increases/perf bonuses for Head of Corp Services.
  4. Salary costings for budgets for Finance
  5.  Updating of garnishee, maintenance and loan schedules for deductions and pay over
  6. Knowledge and implementation of DPSA circulars / Treasury/ SARS regulations
  7. Disbursement and recovery of loans via payroll
  8. All matters pertaining to staff queries
  9. WCA Return of Earnings online submission - annual
  10. PAYE reconciliation – monthly and annual returns and IRP5 calculation, reconciliation and submission for annual & biannual returns.
  11. Capture and transfer of salaries via ABSA Business Integrator
  12. Month end submission to UIF, SARS, and all other relevant 3rd parties
  13. Fully versed in the leave module. (SAGE VIP)

BENEFIT ADMINISTRATION

  1. Liaise with Trustees of the KZNSB Provident Fund for payroll/benefit related functions
  2. Provident Fund Home Loans application processing
  3. Death benefit distribution & funeral claims
  4. Processing of appointments and terminations on the payroll, medical aid & Provident Fund
  5. Medical aid liaison between our brokers, NMG, Bonitas, Discovery Health and staff

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minumum 5 years relevant experience in above Payroll and Benefits Administration duties for a minumum of 200 staff members

VIP Premier and Sage experience

Must be available immediately

Knowledge and implementation of DPSA circulars / Treasury/ SARS regulations

Fully versed in the leave module. (SAGE VIP)

Ability to work independently, and problem solve

Honesty and integrity
