Planet Fitness is looking for a Reporting Accountant that will play a critical role in preparing, analysing, and delivering accurate financial reports to support decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and streamline reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Generate management reports and variance analyses to support business performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with local and international reporting standards, such as IFRS or GAAP.

Regulatory Compliance

Prepare statutory accounts and ensure all regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and resolve queries efficiently.

Data Analysis and Insights

Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor key financial metrics and recommend process improvements.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Support the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing reports and reconciling variances.
Ensure alignment of reporting with the organization’s strategic goals.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes and implement best practices.
Automate and optimize financial reporting tools and templates.

Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting.
Support the Finance Manager and other team members in ad hoc projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.

Proven experience with financial reporting standards.
