Planet Fitness is looking for a Reporting Accountant that will play a critical role in preparing, analysing, and delivering accurate financial reports to support decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and streamline reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Generate management reports and variance analyses to support business performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with local and international reporting standards, such as IFRS or GAAP.

Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare statutory accounts and ensure all regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and resolve queries efficiently.

Data Analysis and Insights

• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor key financial metrics and recommend process improvements.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing reports and reconciling variances.
• Ensure alignment of reporting with the organization’s strategic goals.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes and implement best practices.
• Automate and optimize financial reporting tools and templates.

Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting.
• Support the Finance Manager and other team members in ad hoc projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.

Proven experience with financial reporting standards.
