We are offering an exciting career opportunity for an experienced manager in the food & beverage industry to join our team as the Resort F&B Manager.
We are looking for a senior manager with extensive experience in Food and Beverage of a multi-outlet 5-star Hotel, Golf and Lifestyle Resort, who can deliver on the expectations of the members and guests of a luxury resort, who understands what great F&B service is all about, who knows how to lead, train & develop teams and who knows how to build a F&B experience that delivers exceptional standards consistently. As a resort hotel, we are busy at all times, particularly on weekends and over holiday periods, therefore the manager will be expected to be present these periods to oversee the operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for heading the Food and Beverage department ensuring that:
- Food and Beverage Experiences in the Resort are innovative, exciting and are on trend;
- Members and guests are happy with the food, the dining experience, the service and are coming back for more;
- Outlets are run at the highest level, and service standards are consistently excellent;
- Outlets are following sound financial, operational and people management practices;
- Stock and OE controls are in place and adhered to;
- The Food & Beverage management team is lead in line with the Fancourt values of C.A.R.E. (Communication, Accountable, Responsive, Empathy) in place;
- Customer engagement and feedback is given personal attention, ensuring it is prioritised across the resort and complaints are attended to and resolved promptly;
- Financial management, budgeting and strategic planning are understood across the division (budgets, CAPEX projects, forecasting, audits, etc.) to ensure and that all targets;
- Promoting of all Food & Beverage experiences, internally and externally, to maximize revenues across the resort;
- The product and service offering are continually tested and improved;
- The general day-to-day functions of the division are managed efficiently.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: This position requires:
- A relevant hospitality and / or F&B management tertiary qualification (minimum of NQF 5);
- Knowledge of technology (software and hardware) relevant to the F&B Division, accounting and point of sale systems and advanced competency in MS Office are essential. Knowledge of hotel property management systems will be hugely beneficial;
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (senior management of a 4- or 5-star luxury / leisure resort property);
- Knowledge of and current working experience in an international luxury resort (Leading Hotels of the World standards and the implementation thereof;
- Working knowledge of the following key operational matters: beverage, wine list compilation and management, financial management and reporting, stock and OE controls and management, OHSACT. Oversight of Performance management, managing of managers, devising incentive scheme etc.

The ideal candidate will also be diligent, act with integrity, can practice self-control and has a high stress tolerance, is a team player, can be appropriately assertive.
