SUMMARY:

A remanufacturing cartridge company situated in the North West/Brits is currently seeking a Sales Manager



JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sales

Must have 2 to 3 years in similar industry

Must have 2 to 3 years managerial/team leader experience

Must travel once every 2 weeks to Gauteng with External Sales  Consultants

Must travel once a month for 2 to 3 days to Durban and Cape Town to check on External Sales Consultants – Travel expenses will be paid by the company

Consumables sales experience is essential

Ensure new products' flyers are created and sent out to all relevant customers.

 
 

New flyers and product launches must be sent out for every month for six months from launch date.

 
 

Check every month for 6 months from product launch date which customers are not buying the new products for their market.

 
 

Forward pricelist and flyers to potential customers

 
 

Provide Chris with a name & address list of potential customers when

 
 

visiting out of town customers

 
 

Do estimates/quotes  to customer

 
 

Each and every telephonic enquiry must be replied and/or followed up with an e-mail

 
 

Promote & market the company to Printer & Copier dealers

 
 

Do courtesy calls to current customer base

 
 

Put together monthly "product packages" specials on Old and/or Slow moving stock

 
 

Know / be informed of what our competitors offer and ensure that the company stays a step ahead

 
     

Staff

Train sales persons and invoice clerk (ongoing)

 
 

Assist sales persons to do sales pitches

 
 

Support staff with difficult queries / irate customers

 
 

Motivate staff to achieve their monthly set targets

 
 

Monitor sales during the month, if there is a decline / slow selling, help to resolve "issues"

 
 

Provide guidance to invoice clerk in order for the outgoing invoices not to cause a "bottle neck" at packing

 
 

Oversee that certain customers' special requirements are met

 
     

Customers

   
 

Confirm customers' information

Keep an update customer information list

 
 

Ensure that customers' are up to date on QB

 
 

Keep record of customers' birthdays, inform Chris

 
 

Ensure customers' usages are up to date in order for the company to keep sufficient stock.

 
 

Keep track of customers' purchase patterns

 
 

Urgently liaise with customer whose purchases are declining.

 
     

Suppliers

   
 

Relate all product specification enquiries to Procurement. Procurement will enquire with supplier and revert back to you.

 
 

Assist Procurement to maintain good/profitable relationships with courier companies

 
     

Faulty items

   
 

Receive faulty item from customer with report of what is wrong

 
 

Complete Stock return sheet

 
 

Hand warranty claim to Technical manager

 
 

Follow up on progress of warranty claim with Technical manager

 
 

Replace item or issue a credit note to customer

 

General

   
 

Assist with customer queries

 
 

Count stock every six weeks

 
 

Assist with unpacking stock

 
 

Assist with warehouse tidiness and Product labels

 
 

Ensure your work station is clean & neat before locking up

 
 

Assist general tidiness of open plan office
