SUMMARY:
Key Performance Areas:

• Develop SCM policy, the purpose is to ensure compliance with National Treasure Regulations, PFMA and other practice notes.
• Establish and implement processes and procedures for procuring goods and services. This is to ensure that internal controls are in place and adhered to:
  • Make sure that irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure is avoided.
• Manage the organization’s Tendering and RFQ processes, by ensuring that bid committees are established to ensure compliance with PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
• Managing the supplier’s contracts by ensuring that long-term contracts are entered info for continuous supply and or provision of service.
  • Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure good value and reliable services.
  • Maintain good relationships with the suppliers.
• Provide leadership to the SCM department staff to ensure that there’s proper planning, work is properly coordinated and has
