SHOPPING CENTRE CAR PARK MANAGER

Appointment: Permanent, full-time position
Areas: Pretoria East, Gauteng
Salary: R 7 500 per month
Essential requirements: Completed Matric with Math’s Literacy and minimum 2 years supervisor position in the parking industry essential – applications without it will be delete and not considered at all.
- 2 YEARS SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE IN THE PARKING INDUSTRY ESSENTIAL
- Able to manage the daily Parking operation as per operational requirements Range: month end reports (stats), investigation, escalation, correction, banking and day ends, facility maintenance
- Able to process financial transactions as per SOP Range: Bank cards, debit cards, Ingenico slips
- Able to use equipment according to the manufacturer specs at full optimisation
- Able to input and reconcile the float as per SOP Range
- Able to identify and adhere to compliance as defined in SOP Range: SOP, Compliance, OHS, Banking, Audits
- Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements
- Mobility and ability to move around as per job requirements (including with the use of aids)
- Vision, hearing (including with the use of aids) speaking and literacy
- Ability to use computers in the context of their own job
- Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans
- Administration
- Parking Office is reconciled daily and all variances are accounted for.
- Parking Office is audited daily– reports balance back to actual.
- Cash levels are managed to meet demand
- Log all errors/cashier variances
- Suspicious transactions are escalated as per requirements.
- Daily banking
- Shift management
- Manages the shift
- Employee rostering and duty allocations
- Shift briefings / handovers / shift reports / dispute handling
- Reconciles and resolves pay-out exceptions
- Manages staff appearance and Parking Office appearance/ functioning of equipment and systems
- Maintains general upkeep of the Parking Office areas.
- Contacts technicians for necessary external equipment repair and maintenance.
- Manages stock (e.g. tickets, etc)
- Ongoing liaison with Operations Manager.
- Secure areas where money is counted
- Reporting
- Completes reports as per SOP
- Complete Month-end reports
- Complete daily shift reports
- People management and development
- Managing staff conditions of employment, e.g. Attendance, leave, adherence to policies and procedures
- Performance contracting, reviews and development
- Employee training and managing the training schedule
- Staff communication
- Guides and coaches’ employees
- Provides resources and removes obstacles to performance
- Customer Relationship Management
- Ensures that customers are treated with courtesy and respect at all times
- Resolve complaints, disputes and suggestions timeously
