SMI 14472 - Senior Bookkeeper – Experience within a Law Firm Required

Our client who is an expert in various law areas is looking for a seasoned Bookkeeper with experience within a law firm.

You will be responsible for:

Daily Duties

• Import trust and business bank statements (Standard Bank).
• Invest / withdrawal of client trust money.
• Payment of fees, disbursements and creditors.
• Post client investments.
• Queries.

Weekly Duties

• Post and reconcile fees transferred.
• Review/reconcile creditors trial balance.

Monthly Duties

• Compile leave, overtime, commission and late coming reports. Monthly payroll. Summary for authorization of payment. Load and submit payment. Submit provident fund report. Printing and sending out payslips to staff.
• Submit SARS PAYE.
• Submit SARS VAT.
• Post credit card expenses.
• Post interest and bank charges (client and business investments).
