SPPS/LEAN Engineer - Parow – Salary R35 000-R40 000 EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and EDUCATION REQUIRED: • National Higher Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent • Minimum of 6-9 year experience in a similar position • Proven track record on continuous improvement projects implementation and ROI • Black Belt Six Sigma training advantageous • Advanced knowledge of Lean Tools and their implementations • Deploying a culture of Lean through Change Management • Knowledge of core tools • Ability to formulate training material, facilitate and reinforce implementations • Knowledge of injection moulding processes advantageous • Management, coaching, and development of staff and transferring of expertise to those team members • They would need to have experience with time-trials • Manage Key engineering functions namely Projects PPD (eRFQ), Tool Design, and Product Launch. • Plan development and training for all team members on PM technology/process. • Lead and head up all engineering functions. • Authorises the planning of work, plant, materials, and machinery utilisation and co[1]ordinates the maintenance in the manufacturing/ engineering environment. • Supervises engineers in various disciplines (e.g. electrical, mechanical, process, product etc.). • 16.2 appointments as a health and safety responsible person. Required to lead health, safety, environment, and energy programs to ensure compliance with ISO14001, OHSAS18001, and ISO50001. • Lead RPPC functions: Provide input on initial product feasibility for the sales manager (product design concept, process routing, tool concept, and quotation). • Lead APQP process (program management) once a business win is confirmed: formal product feasibility with a multi-disciplinary team, tool design and manufacturing, process design, product development, and final submission (PPAP). • Oversee all the activities related to tool manufacturing and control. Provide leadership/ oversight to the tool room foreman in managing and planning the manufacture, repair, maintenance, and verification of all tooling used on site. • Provide technical support, maintenance support, and operator training for Production. • Recruitment, selection, and development of employees. • Human Resources functions such as dispute resolution and counselling. • Participate as a member of the management team to determine & realize company strategies, quality concerns, budgets, and short-term objectives. • Liaise with global plants and business units regarding new and current business and monthly status reports. • Determine overhead and Capex requirements for quotations. • Visit sub-suppliers to maintain relationships & resolve tooling or production problems. • Manage the Engineering Change Control, the Controlled Document, the Health and Safety and the International Material Data (IMDS) systems Email your CV, notice period, current salary, and salary requirements to Your CV must include A photo, your residential address, DOB, notice period, current/last salary, and mode of transport.
