SUSHI CHEF (STELLENBOSCH)

SUMMARY:
Seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to collaborate with the Head Chef in managing food stock and handling a variety of ingredients with precision and attention to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine and play a key role in establishing our reputation as a premier Japanese restaurant in the area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- Matric; Culinary Diploma preferred.
- Approximately 4 years of experience in a senior chef role.
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in an Asian restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques.
- Own transport with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work both quickly and accurately.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work during opening hours, including evenings, public holidays, and weekends.
