Guide is responsible for hosting and guiding guests through the lodge's various activities.

Under the leadership of the Head Guide, a Guide is responsible for hosting and guiding guests through the lodge’s various activities and in camp, as well as contributing to the operating of the lodge and taking an active role in the lodge’s conservation and community work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Host and guide guests in the lodge’s various activities which include:
- Game drives
- Nature walks
- Night drives
- Camel and horse rides
- Transfers
- Host guests in camp and at mealtimes as required
- Assist with the collection and dissemination of conservation related data on the conservancy and in the lodge
- Help maintain “Excellent” guiding and wildlife guest feedback scores
- Be able and willing to assist with lodge work when necessary
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Qualifications:
- Kenya driver’s license with Class D endorsement
- Tour Guide License
- First Aid (preferable)
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct
- KPSGA certification preferred
KEY COMPETETIES:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in spoken and written English
- Passion for wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism
Successful candidates will be selected to attend the Mwewe Ranger Training course starting in January 2024. A permanent live in position is subject to successful completion of the course. Placement of candidates is decided by the Regional Ranger Trainer after completion.
