POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Ensure the continuous progress of the HSE & FSSC programs
• Actively promote safety and food safety awareness
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with all HSE standards
• Conduct HSE / FSSC toolbox talks and daily site walkabouts
• Submit weekly reports to management
• Coordinate and support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Safety system (FSSC 22000)
• Develop, implement & sustain the behaviour-based safety Program
• Conduct weekly/monthly awareness and education sessions
• Maintain HSE training documentation
• Implement preventive actions to mitigate incidents, injuries or damages
• Ensure compliance with all FSSC standards and requirements
• Awareness of FSSC / Food safety
• Assist QC manager with Quality reporting/responsibility
• Assess and follow up on complaints affecting FSSC standards
• Quality incident reports for internal and external customer use
• Ensure legal compliance to OHS act and FSSC standards
• Digitalize HSE/FSSC system as far as possible
• General admin support duties for the SHEQ environment

• Must have Grade 12 with a pass mark in Mathematics.
• Tertiary safety related courses or qualifications will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the FMCG / Beverage industry.
• Detailed knowledge of food safety management systems and implementation thereof, including FSSC 22000.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills and be able to work on own.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Report writing.
