POSITION INFO:

Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route. An exciting career opportunity is available at Fancourt Country Club for a Sales Assistant in our Pro Shop.
 
The Pro Shop Assistant will be responsible for performing general Pro Shop duties – merchandising, cleaning, stock control, and assisting customers in general. This will require the candidate to be able to multi-task and be of general assistance to the Pro Shop Manager. This role also requires basic administration tasks to be completed accurately and timeously.
 
The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, and will be reliable, honest and organised. We are looking for someone with a minimum of Grade 12, or equivalent, with 6 months’ experience in a retail & sales environment. Computer literacy on MS Office suite and working knowledge of a stock control or point of sale system will be an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of golf as we believe this will add to our customer experience if the person assisting them understands their golfing needs.
 
We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
