Sales Support Assistant

SUMMARY:
The SSA is the voice of the company and often the first point of contact for new business enquiries.

POSITION INFO:

A position for a Sales Support Administrator, known as the “Heartbeat and Voice” of the organisation, has become available at this Market Leading Company that specialises within the Imports and Distribution of Top-Quality High-End Hygiene & Cleaning Products.

The position involves dealing with customers and leads on email, or by telephone, and sporadic walk-in customers.  As a supporting role to one or more customer facing Hygiene Consultants, this position can be quite demanding, with daily proposals, and quote deadlines.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric /Grade 12 and a relevant diploma advantageous
• 3 years’ experience in a sales support position (previous outbound sales/cold calling)
• MS Office Suite Application Intermediate to Advanced (Excel at minimum on intermediate level)
• An understanding of the sales process and have experience with telephone sales
• Be able to work well in a team with and provide support to one or more Hygiene Consultants
• Working Hours – Monday to Friday (08h00 – 16h30)
• Own Transport & Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide quotations constantly for any of the required products
• Address any customer enquiries regarding the products (telephonic, email or walk-ins)
• Understand the products very well and be willing to continuously refresh product knowledge
• Make use of SAP ERP to create quotations, sales opportunities and update the SAP CRM module with activities and changes in opportunities
• Be able to work well in a team with one or more Hygiene Consultants
• Assist Hygiene Consultants to fill their diary with meetings/assessments & weekly sales reports
• Be comfortable following up on proposals or quotations telephonically
• Be comfortable selling on the phone from start to finish which includes assisting to close the sales
• Arranging meetings/assessments with customers and using MS Outlook as the scheduling tool
• Be comfortable cold calling
