SUMMARY:
The function of this position is to provide ongoing training for new entrants of Sales Consultants to the business, as well as providing ongoing training for existing Sales Consultants in the business. vAssess training needs of all learners.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • The responsibility of the Trainer is not exhaustive and may change from time-to-time as decided by Management.
  • Provide ongoing training for new entrants of Sales Consultants to the business.
  • Provide ongoing training for existing Sales Consultants in the business.
  • Assess training needs of all learners.
  • Conduct and facilitate training and coaching as required.
  • Compile feedback reports. 
  • Compile results and maintain administrative records.
  • Maintain training material.
  • Design and develop training material and assessment instruments as and when required.
  • Ensure that new and existing Sales Consultants acquire the required FAIS accreditation.
  • Will be required to dial for a minimum of four hours a month.

Job Summary:

To take accountability for all aspect of the Sales Consultant training including:
  • Conduct training according to training plan.
  • Ensure the highest level of standards are adhered to when facilitating training.
  • To maintain and adhere to assessment and learning principles.
  • To design, develop and implement training courses/material and relevant competency tests that are of a high quality and add value to the learning experience.
  • Ensure tests are marked timeously and feedback provided to the learner as well as to training management.
  • To evaluate test results in order to ascertain the knowledge of staff and identify areas that require further coaching or improvement.
  • To compile and collate and maintain documentation relevant to training delivery.
  • To keep up to date with changes or advancement on the sales floor.
  • Ongoing validity checks on training material, process & activities including documentation.
  • To provide training and training support to Sales Manager where requested or required by Sales Floor.
  • To update and accurately maintain learner records and results on an ongoing basis.
  • To compile and communicate learner feedback and results to Head of Training as well as to relevant Sales Managers on the floor.
  • To maintain and set example on adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of changes in learning and development developments in the market.
  • To maintain and update relevant training material / provide relevant advise on existing as well as new products and material.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 2 years Learning and Development or Training Experience.
  • Min 2 years Call Centre and/or Sales Training Experience.
  • 2 years in INSETA accreditation process.
  • Assessor and / or Moderator Qualification.
  • An NQF Level 4 or above Short Term Insurance Qualification /or Scope for Assessment of Unit Standards on Short Term Insurance Qualification.
  • Project management.
