SUMMARY:

A Freight Forwarding Company is seeking a Seafreight Export Clerk to join their team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
Handling of Hazardous, GP & LCL shipments
Estimates
Requesting & negotiating of freight rates from various shipping lines
Liaising with Customers, depots, Customs, Transnet etc
Processing and submitting of Haz PD
Processing of CTO
Updating Stack list / booking confirmations to the client
Pre-advising on Navis/ Shipping line website
Processing of bills and SI’s according to the clients requirements
Able to work on Intra
Processing of cargo dues/ shipping orders
Processing of Eur1 form A, Coo, SADC, BSC,ECTN,CNCA,EFTA, Phyto certificates, etc
Processing of Insurance certificates
Tracking of shipments
Invoicing
Reconciliation of creditors & agents invoices
Handling queries from clients & 3rd party
Reconciling general ledgers

Customer Relations
Building and maintaining a professional and constructive relationship with clients
Understanding the clients individual needs and adhering to their operating procedure
Providing advice and best options to the clients when arranging cargo as well as the process and time frame
Ensure all queries are attended to efficiently with positive outcomes

Minimum 3 years Sea Exports experience
