SUMMARY:
2IC position available in Pretoria. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Outdoor goods retail store. You will lead a team of sales associates, create an engaging and customer-focused environment, and contribute to the overall success and growth of our business. Your role is crucial in delivering a memorable and seamless shopping experience to our customers.

Requirements:Â
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the outdoor industry.
- Must have firearm competencyÂ
- Must be fully bilingual in AFRIKAANS and English
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- A passion for outdoor activities, gear, and equipment, with knowledge of outdoor products and trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers and team members.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage store operations efficiently.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail environment and handle unexpected challenges.Â
Responsibilities:Customer Service:- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
- Resolve customer issues and inquiries professionally and promptly.
Team Management:- Assist in supervising and coordinating the activities of retail staff, including sales associates and cashiers.
- Provide support, training, and feedback to team members.
- Ensure the team adheres to company policies and procedures.
Inventory Management:- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and restocking shelves as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to the store manager.
Visual Merchandising:- Help maintain visually appealing product displays and store organization.
- Contribute to the creation of eye-catching merchandise displays.
Cash Handling:- Oversee cash register operations, including cash handling, returns, and transactions.
Loss Prevention:
- Assist in monitoring security and loss prevention measures to safeguard company assets.
- Complete weekly alarm checks and maintain register.
- Ensure that staff purchases have been actioned according to the staff purchase policy.
Sales and Upselling:- Actively promote sales and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Encourage the team to meet and exceed sales targets.
Operational Support:- Support the store manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Checking the cash up and banking details daily
- Assist with customer refunds.
- Updating of dashboard and checking internal ERP system Cases for outstanding queries.
- Stock adjustments for shop use, sponsors etc.
- Assist with overrides at till points, refunds if and where needed as well as credit notes.
- Feedback to store manager weekly.
- Following up weekly to check on repairâs status.
- Following up on E-learning process and communication to staff weekly.
- Spot check of floats.
- Weekly check and sign off of Petty Cash.
- Maintain company policies and procedures.
- Assist Store Manager with duties pertaining to customers when he/she is on leave, or out of the store.
- Send special orders through to supplier.
- Plan all instore events.
- Plan and co-ordinate stock takes with Stock Room Supervisor.
- Plan and co-ordinate safe audits with Safe Manager.
- Must be able to assist in any role in the shop.
- Follow up on all outstanding sales orders to push sales.
- Must have exceptional understanding of stock. management to assist stock room with problems.
