Section Manager: Occupational Health

Key responsibilities will include:

• Plan, lead, organise and manage an effective occupational health service to promote the health and wellbeing of all employees
• Manage a comprehensive and effective occupational health programme
• Budget formulation and control
• Provide a sustainable Health Care Programme
• Comply with legal requirements and company policies and procedures
• Emergency preparedness and business continuity management
• Working knowledge of procedures followed when dealing with the Compensation Commissioner
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, environmental and health hazards within the workplace
• Perform daily administrative duties

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• BTech in Occupational Health Nursing / Degree in Nursing Administration / Equivalent
• Certificate in Audiometry (update), Spirometry, Dispensary licence
• 5 years management experience in an Occupational Health environment
• Management Development Programme (MDP)
• SAMTRAC and SHE Auditing (advantageous)
• Registration with South African Nursing Council
• Basic ambulance course, Dispensing course
• MS Office Suite
• Code EB (8) drivers’ licence
