SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant ready to make a significant impact at a fast-paced and dynamic services company? We’re seeking an individual with a completed finance or accounting degree, SAIPA or SAICA articles, and a strong background in financial controls, fixed assets, and CAPEX reporting. POSITION INFO:

Month-End Close: Process month-end journals and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting
General Ledger Management: Reconcile general ledger accounts and manage creditor payments
Asset Management: Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the asset register, ensuring compliance with company policies
Financial Reporting: Finalize and produce financial accounts on time, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date
Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze detailed financial statements, providing insights into the company’s financial position
Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any finance or financial system-related queries
Group Ledger Entries: Export group ledger entries to individual company records and ensure proper alignment across the group
Accruals & Provisions: Process and calculate monthly accruals and provisions accurately
Audit Support: Assist in preparing and providing the general ledger for auditors and prepare documentation for external audits
Tax & Reconciliation: Reconcile tax-related transactions, cashbook, bank statements, and petty cash balances
Reporting & Insights: Design and implement daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management
Ad-Hoc Duties: Handle any additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by line managers

Skills & Experience:
Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
A minimum of 2 years post-article experience in industries such as manufacturing, FMCG, or retail
Proven experience in team management and working collaboratively across departments

Qualification:
Finance or Accounting degree
Grade 12 (Matric)
