Our Client in The Linbro Park area is looking for a highly skilled and reliable Senior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping operations, and ensuring the smooth running of financial processes through to the balance sheet stage. 

This role requires excellent problem-solving and finance skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to adhering to company procedures. 

The Senior Bookkeeper must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete Bookkeeping Duties: Maintain financial records, process transactions, and reconcile accounts up to the balance sheet.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with company procedures.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet business needs.
• Problem Solving: Address discrepancies, identify solutions, and resolve accounting issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and process integration.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
• Audit Preparation: Assist with audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and financial statements are accurate and accessible.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage), Excel, and general office software.
• A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, or similar) or equivalent work experience.
