POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Controller (Imports) to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of import activities, overseeing the end-to-end process, and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor and control the import budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
• Resolve any issues or delays in the import process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on import activities and performance metrics.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of import controllers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics.

• Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
• Knowledge of South African customs regulations and international trade laws.
• Valid driver's license and own transport are advantageous.
