Duties:
 

• Maximize collections while minimizing bad debts.
• Manage overdue accounts, ensuring timely recovery without jeopardizing relationships.
• Resolve customer queries promptly to avoid delays in payments.
• Prepare pre-legal handover schedules and documentation for review by the Head of Credit Control
• Track and monitor quarterly and annual cash receipts for the Group.
• Complete debtor reconciliations on time, liaising with various teams to ensure accurate records
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and communicate weekly on arrear accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare and present reports on key accounts receivable metrics, along with recommended action plans.
• Lead and motivate a high-performance credit control team.
• Ensure staff are developed and equipped to perform at their best.
• Maintain inter-departmental relations and manage operational requirements.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Matric is essential, with a Credit Control Certificate.
• National Diploma in Credit Management is required.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Degree in Accounting or Commerce is advantageous.

• At least 10 years of corporate credit control experience, including 3-5 years at a senior level.
• Experience with multi-currencies and international customers is a must.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent account reconciliation, investigation, and query resolution abilities.
• Proven ability to manage and reduce debtor books effectively.
• Expertise in credit management and risk mitigation, particularly with large corporate customers.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly with difficult counterparties.
• Experience with ERP systems
