Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

Site Team Leader

· Report to the Project Manager on daily activities at construction site

· Management and supervision of site personnel and construction          activities

· Planning and execution of construction activities

· Assess the construction site and provide information to the Project      Manager for compiling methods statements

· Responsible for planning, acquiring, organising, and managing all        tools to complete the works on site

· Responsible for making sure that the materials ordered/required for    site construction is adequate before the work starts.

· Responsible for overall safety compliance on site

· Ensure that daily risk assessments and toolbox talks are carried out    on site and kept in the safety file at all times.

· Responsible for safety file and updating thereof, with daily safety        activities.

· Purchase any construction materials with the approval of the              project manager. The project code to be used at all times. Follow        company procurement procedures

· Responsible for quality control of site activities, including signing off    of QCP’s with the Client, quality inspections and correction of defects

· Aim to achieve zero snag list items, i.e. perform post installation        and pre-commissioning inspections to ensure compliance to                customer standards

· Manage the time spent by the construction team in accordance with    the project schedule.

· Identifying potential challenges and proposing solutions to address      them on time before schedule overruns

· Ensuring that each project/task order does not overrun. Failure in      this regard will be taken in a serious light

· Management of all commissioning activities on site and liaison with    the Client.

· Aim to achieve zero customer complaints

· Documenting and reporting on the work done in the form of              progress construction pictures

· Ensure the installation complies with the relevant standard for            issuing of COC

Electrician duties

· Report to the project manager on daily activities

· LV & MV electrical equipment, cable containment/wireways, cable        installations, jointing and terminations

· Electrical wiring in accordance with the installation standard

· Use of hand tools and electrical equipment

· Use electrical testing equipment’s

· Respond to emergency callouts within the required time

· All other duties required for the project

Contribution to Company Profitability

· Ensure that there are no project schedule overruns or delays

· Ensure that the number of site personnel is as per budget

· Purchasing site tools, equipment, and materials to be done via the      Project Manager

· Check the material and tools at stores and advise the Project              Manager before procurement

· Assist tendering department with quotations that require technical      input as and when required

· Provide input to the Project Manager regarding progress made on      site in order for clients to be invoiced timeously

· Prevent wasteful expenditure

· Willingness to contribute and make a positive difference to the             Company

·  Willingness to perform duties at the highest levels possible

·  Report any sub-standard performance of personnel or any                 unwillingness to contribute positively to the team to management

·  Work neatly at all times with care to the environment

·  Ensure correct handling of company property, tools, materials etc

·  Ensure all company property, including vehicles, are kept in a clean     and presentable state – vehicles to be sent to the car wash at least     once a month;

·  Report any damage to company property to management.

·  Make suggestions to improve the operations of the company

·  Implement Companies SHEQ management systems

Qualifications

· Electrical Trade Certificate

· Three Phase wireman’s

· A valid driver’s license

Experience

· 5-7 years’ relevant experience Knowledge

· Knowledge of OHSAct and SANS 10142

· Knowledge of electrical testing equipment

· Knowledge of installation of LV and MV electrical equipment

Skills/ Competencies

· Ms Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Ability to communicate on different levels

· Report writing skills
