Senior Field Service Support Technician

SUMMARY:
The primary focus of this position will be the commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing, repair, and maintenance of LV, HV, and iESS products at customer sites, both locally and internationally. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, basic setup, commissioning, fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance on battery systems that may involve various inverters, peripheral equipment, and an EMS. As a senior member of the Support team, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership, mentorship, independence, and a comprehensive technical understanding of technology and system components.

POSITION INFO:

Perform repair and maintenance of products, logging faults and problems to enhance product quality
Conduct diagnostics and resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction and effective support
Investigate facility failures to identify root causes and implement control measures to prevent recurrence
Provide accurate and timely reporting to all stakeholders, including customer feedback and site visit findings
Deliver comprehensive Battery Test Services to industry clients, defining test cycles and operating conditions based on customer specifications
Liaise with Development and Production teams to communicate on-site issues for continuous product improvement
Offer technical support at customer sites, including diagnostics, repair work, and comprehensive issue resolution
Ensure professional conduct and adherence to health and safety standards during all site visits and customer interactions

Skills & Experience:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Capable of making limited technical decisions within a defined framework
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer acumen
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Able to work effectively under pressure
Skilled in conflict management

Qualification:
Ndip or BTech – Electrical Engineering
Electrician – Redseal/Wiremans
PV Greencard will be beneficial
