POSITION INFO:

We have a unique opportunity available for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team. This position suits a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership qualities and exceptional organizational skills. You will have a proven track record in managing multiple company accounts and have a thorough understanding of South African tax regulations. You would need to be someone who can seamlessly handle both strategic financial planning and hands-on bookkeeping responsibilities. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial operations of four companies
• Manage day‐to‐day bookkeeping tasks up to trial balance
• Manage accounts receivable and payable
• Spearhead budget creation and cost management for various projects
• Develop robust monthly cash flow plans
• Implement credit guarantee measures and submit monthly debtors' age analysis reports
• Strategically plan for provisional and annual taxes
• Prepare and submit SARS returns, employee taxes, VAT, and dividends tax
• Compile annual financial statements and management accounts
• Manage payment processing, loading payments to the bank, and prepare documentation
• Manage supplier payments
• Liaise with clients regarding invoicing and manage customer‐supplier systems 
• Perform company reconciliations and intercompany loan accounts
• Write various journals and ensure accurate balances
• Calculate salaries monthly and oversee capturing of leave
• Prepare and process monthly salaries, overseeing the payroll system
• Manage monthly and annual SARS submissions, VAT, PAYE, and EMP 501 reconciliations
• Calculate and submit annual Return of Earnings to the Compensation Commissioner
• Calculate salaries monthly and oversee capturing of leave

Requirements:

• SAIPA registered (preferred)
• BCom in Accounting
• Experience and proficiency with MS Office and MS Excel
• Experience and proficiency with Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll
• Experience with SARS E-filing
