POSITION INFO:
Our client a medium size contractor specializing in the construction of luxury residential projects in Cape Town require candidates qualified as carpenters to manage joinery finishing on projects in Cape Town.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on luxury homes and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, including framing, doors, windows, and cabinetry for high-end residential properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to meet client specifications.
- Work with a variety of materials such as wood, metal, and drywall to achieve top-tier finishes.
- Collaborate with other trades and site managers to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Supervise and check on sub-contractors appointed to the project.
Requirements:
- Preferably Trade tested or full apprenticeship.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in carpentry, preferably within luxury or high-end residential projects.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and blueprints.
- Expertise in fine finishes, including detailed woodwork, trims, and custom features.
- Familiarity with carpentry tools and equipment, and ability to work with various materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
